Bea becomes our first tree-planter in Thailand!
A very big THANK YOU and CONGRATULATIONS to Bea, who recently planted and dedicated her tree in Thailand, making Thailand the 69th country to join our global tree-planting community!
This report was made shortly after Fiji joined us as country number 68, in August.
Bea tells us that “I know my friend has been involved with the GTI (Global Tree Initiative) for a long time, so last year he asked me to plant a tree, and I felt it was not necessary, since Thailand is so green.
However, even here on this small island of Koh Panghan, due to construction, some trees get taken out, so most people plant a coconut tree afterwards. However, I decided to plant a Golden Shower tree, this being the national tree of Thailand. Usually, I mainly grow Papayas since I love them, but this tree planting was special!”
She continues to tell us that this tree was planted as a thank you for Thailand being her second home, and to make the country just a little greener, while also contributing to a greener planet!
Bea, we are inspired by your sincerity. Thank you so much for planting your tree and telling us about it. And, kudos to your good friend for asking you to plant the tree! We appreciate both of you!
