New Zealand: Tree-planting day at Chandrakirti Meditation Centre

Join us on this exciting day of tree-planting!

We have always dreamed of creating a sustainable food forest on Chandrakirti’s WishFulfilling Land and now it’s happening!

We have over 100 edible trees on order – apples, pears peaches, nectarines, plums, nashi, fejoa, walnuts, pecans, almonds, and more – with the aim to plant them out early May.

Another 500 native tree species are also on order, to be planted at Wish Fulfilling Land, to create environments for the native birds and creatures.

WishFulfilling Land is partnering with the Global Tree Initiative founded by Osel Hita, with the mission :
Plant your Tree. Grow our Forest. Save their Future.

All the merit and trees are dedicated to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

“A clean environment is a human right like any other. It is, therefore, our responsibility towards others to ensure that the world we pass on is as healthy, if not healthier, than when we found it.” – His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

We are very excited to be sharing this project with you and warmly invite you to be involved!
