Green Land Re-wilding

Our recent planting report is from Greenland Group,  Tanzania. They have planted and dedicated 1000 trees to better their community.

Frank shares with us;

Lushoto district is the evergreen community which is covered by tropical grassland and mountain presence which is widely known as Usambara Mountains. But agricultural activities, the need of demand for population expansion, charcoal demand and presence of lumbering activities at the area has caused Lushoto district to be degraded and survive with degraded native forest such as Magamba Forest ecosystem and also this has causes reductions of food production and caused poor nutrition among families, poor economic situation which seems to even hindering school students programs to be reduced for 30 percent. https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100093839637383&sk

Due to this situation Green Land Group, we are operating the project of production seedlings from the nursery seedlings and planting them especially fruits trees in their agricultural plot’s where by maximum 5000 seedlings are being planted each month to 500 farmers and also natives trees are being planted around the native degraded forest where by 5000 also are being introduced in degraded native trees with well monitored each week to see how they are grown.

Green land Group, we are an involved community in different ways through education to understand how the seedlings are being produced and how they are taken into plantation. Also our planting project involves the community on how we are creating employment opportunities through fruits trees that we are planting for them.
