Meet Sophie Kaiser, our German Translator!

Sophie from Germany, grew up in the areas surrounding the Bavarian forest. She recalls her childhood, spending a lot of time in the forest. Being in the forest made her feel connected to nature. Regardless of how she felt, after spending time in the forest, she would feel completely happy! Sophie tells us about her recent years and tree-planting activity: “After years of studying, working, and living in big cities, I felt a bit disconnected from nature. Last year, I had a wonderful experience! I participated in a tree-planting day organized on the behalf of the Global Tree Initiative. It felt great, being grounded and planting trees in the forest with my own hands. Through this action, I reconnected to the experience of feeling recharged and happy in the forest.” Sophie also volunteers for the Aryatara Institute in Munich. She was part of the group from the Aryatara Institute that planted 108 trees in October 2020. You can see the trees here, on our map. She is also one of our very generous donors. Her message to you is:“Please join us. Make a donation. Plant a tree, and grow our forest!” Have a look at Sophie’s Giving Tuesday video! Thank you for being on our team, and for supporting our projects, Sophie. We appreciate you very much!
