Recently, I met children with curiosity, enthusiasm, and thoughtful attitude towards nature, science, and social behavior through various activities. These qualities are vital for building a strong nation, as they foster an understanding of contemporary needs and responsibilities. It is truly inspiring to witness the unique spirit of these young minds!
Small, creative, and inquisitive experiments combined with a drive to apply sustainable lifestyle with passion seen in children recently. I am so happy to see a progressive society.
Over the past few days, I have been guiding various schools, colleges, and institutes on projects focused on sustainable living. One notable initiative was organized in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club and a local nursery. This was the project with Inner Wheel Club and Nursery where 150 students from 9th grade visited the nursery to observe 350 different plant species, including both native and non-native.
The children also explored Wormy composting pit and learned how the nursery propagates trees and shrubs.
I met Navade Village school children, 6th-grade students had made various models and scientific instruments for a science exhibition. One particular project stood out, a young boy had built a metal detector and was showing the demo to everyone. Witnessing such talented, inquisitive, and active children made me happy.
I was also invited as a guest speaker to an NSS camp at Vakdi Village, where I delivered a lecture and provided guidance on a sustainable lifestyle. Additionally, I attended a special program at Vashi, organized by the Dr. Jane Goodall Institute in collaboration with the Indian Women Scientists Association (IWSA). This event celebrated children who had authored books and featured storytelling sessions, along with a book exhibition.
