A whisper from the woods

A ‘thank you’ message from our founder, Tenzin Ösel

Mar 28, 2022

Hello Everyone,

I am very happy to inform you that we are going to use the money that was fundraised for my birthday celebration to continue expanding the Global Tree Initiative (GTI).

I am so very grateful. This has been the best birthday present in my life.

The GTI is a wonderful cause. Your gift made me feel that people are supporting these projects for a great cause, and that they care and trust what we are doing. It means a lot to me.

So, I just wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. We promise absolute transparency and accountability for any situation within the GTI and Universal Clear Light (UCL).

This is a community of love, appreciation, empathy and caring. This organization is where we benefit others without expecting anything in return.

We have two new members on board, Kika and Val. We are happy and proud to introduce them to you. We are going to continue working hard for the growth of the Global Tree Initiative and to benefit our only home, our Mother Earth.

We will be expanding the Global Tree Initiative to do more activities, not just planting trees.

One Big Love
Tenzin Ösel

Please share this. Thank you!

Every individual action matters, and we can all make a difference. It’s important to support sustainable, local products whenever possible. There are even apps that rate the sustainability and eco-friendliness of the brands we choose. The theme for this year’s World Food Day is “Right to foods for a better life and a better future”. The term “foods” stands for diversity, nutrition, affordability, and safety. The idea is that a greater diversity of nutritious foods should be available for everyone so that every single citizen has the chance to lead a balanced and nutritious life.

Do not forget that your path towards a plant-based diet will necessarily be different than that of the person next to you, and that’s okay! Respect your rhythm, respect yourself and keep it up!

The path to plant based diet

I made a decision to stop eating meat and adopt a predominantly plant-based diet after listening to a talk on veganism at the Habit Alignment Key (HAK) retreat in Bendigo, Australia, in 2023.

As a bread maker, I am often asked if I sell gluten-free (GF) bread and other baked goods. In fact, this is becoming increasingly common. It is my personal experience – through my work – that more and more people are restricting gluten consumption or setting it aside altogether.
