Planting trees through art

Emma Defresne, one of our French coordinators, is supporting the Global Tree Initiative (GTI) and planting trees through her art.

With a combination of creativity and passion, Emma makes these beautiful crochet puppets, inspired by nature and her surroundings! She is also very inspired by Jean Giono’s book, “The man who planted trees”.

The small acorns are ‘up for adoption’ at Institute Vajra Yogini (IVY), Lavaur, France. The IVY boutique agreed to display Emma’s crochet art, and a sign explaining the intentions behind the art.

Each acorn can be adopted, at a donation. The donations will then be given to the GTI to support their operations and facilitate tree-planting.

Thank you so much for your very kind contributions, Emma! We are very grateful to you and IVY for helping us grow!

Emma also makes larger items to support the GTI, as you can see in the photos below. Her beautiful, handmade art is made with love, and is available on a donation basis. Prices and shipments can be discussed with her privately.

Get in touch with Emma if you want to know more about her art.

Please share this. Thank you!
