Tanzania Sustainable Environment and Community Outreach (TASECO) plants and dedicates 127 trees!
Reuben Richard, the leader of the TASECO group, tells us about the inspiring work of his community.
On the 10th of June, members of the community gathered at Murutunguru Secondary School for a fun day of tree planting! Together, they planted 127 orange and lemon trees!
Reuben tells us that “TASECO works together with community members, friends, and partners on different operations within and outside organizations. Our current projects include the School farming project, Desks for school children project, Sustainable tree planting project, Special need children support and the MHM project. All these projects are supported by fundraising, donor support, and members’ contributions. Our collective impacts are very big and appreciated by communities and government.”
This year, TASECO plans to plant at least 25,000 trees! To date, more than 7,000 trees have already been planted.
Reuben concludes by telling us that “We dedicate this activity of tree planting to all the youth and adults in the world. The environment needs people to conserve it. Nature is all about the conservation and protection of biodiversity. Life depends on our actions towards our environment.”
Thank you for telling us about your inspiring work and the impact TASECO is making, Reuben! We appreciate learning from you.
