Welcome to our new partner, The Wellbeing Planet!

The Wellbeing Planet (TWP), a non-profit foundation based in the City of Knowledge in Panama, is our newest Global Tree Initiative (GTI) partner. The TWP was founded by Dr. Richard J. Davidson, scientific advisor, and Dr. Koncha Pinos, director.

The mission of TWP is to create well-being on the planet through the framework of cognitive, affective and social neuroscience.  They work in areas of mental health, education, and reforestation via comprehensive programs.

Currently, TWP has active projects in 45 countries!

In April 2022, the Global Tree Initiative founder, Tenzin Ösel Hita, and director, Jacquelyn Keeley, met with Dr. Koncha Pinos in Panama.

During the one-week visit, avenues for collaboration were explored, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed. This was a historic event. This was the first official MOU signed for the GTI!

TWP and GTI will work together towards planting trees, creating communities, and contributing to the overall well-being of our planet.

Have a look at the global tree-planting map, to see the thousands of trees TWP has already planted in Panama.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity, Dr. Koncha Pinos! We are honored to learn from you. We are pleased to work with you!

Visit TheWellbeingPlanet.org for more information about this inspiring project!

And have a look at Dr. Koncha’s informative article, Can trees heal people?

Please share this. Thank you!
