Rafael de Macedo Plants To Amplify The Connection With Our Planet
This week’s Success Story comes from the South American country of Brazil.
Rafael de Macedo tells us about the 10 trees he recently planted.
He shares that “I am a Brazilian student of Tibetan Buddhist tradition, with the guidance of the Ven. Segyu Choepel Rinpoche, and also a nature lover since my childhood.
During my spare time/holidays/weekends, I usually nurse, grow, and plant native species from the Mata Atlantica (Atlantic Rainforest ecosystem) in my family property, basically to mitigate our impact on the environment.
I do not have the precise information, but I think we have already planted more than 5.000 native trees since 2015, especially the endangered species Araucaria angustifolia (Brazilian pine tree) and Euterpe edulis (similar to the açai berry tree).
I hope some day, by doing this, we can at least create a better condition for future beings and inspire other human beings to amplify the connection with our planet.”
Rafael, this is incredible! Thank you so much for telling us about your tree-planting activity, and thank you for investing your precious time and energy into caring for Mother Earth. We sincerely appreciate your efforts, and we hope to hear many more stories from you!
To our global community, if you are inspired by Rafael and if you are planting trees too, we would love to hear from you! Please remember to fill out this form on our website, and tell us about your tree-planting activity.
