Transforming Thubten Phuntsok Gephel Ling Retreat Center into a Sanctuary for all Living Beings!

This week’s success story comes from Santa Susana, Portugal!

Arianna Cecchetti tells us about the trees planted at the Thubten Phuntsok Gephel Ling Retreat Center, which is part of a reforestation project.

“The reforestation project is one of the aspects of our commitment, in restoring our connection with nature, fixing the environmental degeneration, and the relationship we have with elemental forces. It aims to turn the Thubten Phuntsok Gephel Ling retreat centre into a sanctuary for all living beings, starting with the creation of a suitable habitat. This project is also connected with the Water Project, aiming to locally face an environmental and social issue, that is the droughts in Alentejo.”

One of the new plantings.

On this specific day, 14 trees were planted, including: 2 Fraxinus angustifolia, 2 Cupressus macrocarpa, 1 Melaleuca alternifolia, 1 Jacaranda mimosifolia, 1 Casuarina equisetifolia, 7 Yucca sp.

Their planting and actions are “Dedicated to all beings, humans and non-humans.”

Thank you very much, Arianna, for sharing your story with us! We are so happy to hear about the restoration project, and that you are intentionally creating a sustainable habitat and sanctuary for all beings!

Thank you for inspiring us!
