Oupa David Enjoys the Fruits of his Labour with his Grandsons

This Success Story comes from our tree-planting friend in South Africa, Francois Fick.

You may remember seeing Francois in a story we wrote about the lemon tree he planted for his community. 

Or, you may remember Francois from this story we wrote about him and his beautiful family.

This time, Francois tells us about the trees his father-in-law, David du Raan, has been planting.

Francois tells us that his parents-in-law, Wilna and David du Raan, bought new land in the coastal surfing town of Jeffreys Bay. This land, he is currently developing into an orchard. To date, he has planted more than 50 trees, including apples, peaches, lemons, pecans, avocados, and more!

While this may seem like a lot of work, David is being helped – and supervised – by his two grandsons, Robbie and David #2 – klein David.

Francois tells us that his father-in-law takes great pleasure in sharing his work with his two grandsons, as well as sharing the fruits of his labour with his grandsons!
