Our sincerest appreciation to Mark Allaway for his 2025 contributions!

By now, “Mark and Jill” or “Mark Allaway” may sound like household names to our global community.

If you cannot remember these names, maybe you will remember these beautiful faces:

You may remember Mark and Jill from their “Walk For Trees” campaign back in 2023, when Mark and Ken, with the support of Jill and Barry, walked 90 kilometers to raise funds for planting trees.

Mark and Jill joined our team as Australian Regional Coordinators back in 2021. Although they resigned from their roles in 2024, they remained very active members of our community!

To illustrate just how active, we can look at the tree-planting reports made for 2025. In the year 2025, we received an incredible total of 19 tree-planting reports from Mark, making him our most active reporter for 2025!

The reports Mark submitted were not only his own trees and plantings, but he was also reporting trees on behalf of his community, showing just how much he is still representing the Global Tree Initiative in his local community.

Although the reports were made in Mark’s name, we acknowledge Mark and Jill as a team, and we thank them both for their selfless service and dedication.

And, of course, we cannot confirm, but we suspect that Barry is the main motivator behind their work. From the tree-planting reports submitted, we often notice Barry. He may be digging the holes, he may be supervising, or maybe just encouraging. Who knows…

A very big THANK YOU to Mark, Jill, and Barry, for their support and hard work! Thank you for helping us #PlantGrowSave, and thank you for inspiring us. We appreciate you!

Please share this. Thank you!
