Welcoming Heather to our global community

Welcome to the team Heather!

We are happy to welcome Heather to our team of volunteers as our regional coordinator. Originally from the UK, Heather now resides in the Sydney area, Australia. She has followed Osel Hita’s projects over the years and being a huge nature lover, she felt particularly drawn to the global Tree Initiative (GTI).

Heather shared, “I see the project having a broad impact, not just for the environment but for its positive change within individuals and our communities, creating stories and experiences which inspire others.

In 2006, Heather moved to Sydney from New Zealand and began working for a domestic water sustainability company. In 2019 she transitioned to become a primary ethics teacher before joining the Save the Children Corporate Partnership Department.

She continues, “I was inspired to join the GTI team to plant trees for our wildlife and future generations”.

Recently, Heather and her two young boys enjoyed a Falloon family planting day, further showing her commitment to environmental sustainability. Please see the article of their planting day. You may remember her from our article.
