Meet Anna Colao!

Anna is a mother, education consultant, well-being specialist, and our Global Tree Initiative (GTI) Education Coordinator!

Anna has the following to share about herself:
“I have had a life-long interest in the education of the heart. I have always been searching for what it is that connects and nurtures us. This interest led me to Buddhism when I was just 15 years old.

By the time I was 20, I was living in Jamyang London which is when I met Ösel, our GTI founder, plus Ven. Connie. This inspired me to become involved with Universal Education. From that point, I considered myself a Universal Education Practitioner – dedicating my life to the practice of love and the search for what connects and awakens us.

Looking at the earth and the trees, we naturally develop thoughts and actions based on interconnection and respect for all beings and the environment, our Home. It is a privilege and a pleasure to play my small part.

Meeting Jacie (our Global Director) and working with her has been a total pleasure. Ösel, my dearest heart-brother, supported me closely through my cancer journey. Now, as GTI, we are all working together to develop a fruitful partnership with the Foundation for Developing Compassion and Wisdom (FDCW). Our goal is to create educational programs that combine ethics and environmental literacy.

Many thanks to all who have helped to shape and guide me on my path. It is truly joyful to be part of our fast-growing One Universal Family.”

Thank you for your inspirational story, and thank you for being on our team, Anna!
