Marie-Claire, from Puna’auia, French Polynesia, has joined Marilyn in translating our GTI website to French!
Although born in Tahiti, Marie-Claire lived in France for some time. She studied economics and graduated from the University of Nice. After that, she returned to Tahiti where she worked as a public servant. This work mainly included tourism and civil aviation. After retiring, she worked as a parliamentary assistant.
“I finally decided to stop working to have more time for Dharma, more freedom for retreats, pilgrimages, and my hobbies, like studying Chinese metaphysics. Through my work in the Naropa Center, I learned about your project.” Marie-Claire tells us.
Puna’auia, where Marie-Claire lives, is famous for wild oranges and beautiful views. She says that “Our islands are like gardens, and so should the planet be. I feel bad where and when there are no trees.”
Thank you for telling us about yourself and your beautiful island, Marie-Claire! Thank you for joining our team!
